NCJW Scholarships Now Available for Jewish College and Trade School Students & High School Seniors

Every other year, NCJW – Greater Long Beach & West Orange County offers scholarships to resident area students from donations made to our Tikkun Olam Fund and the Linda Calderón Memorial Scholarship Fund. Applications are now being accepted from current college and trade school students as well as high school seniors until the May 1 deadline. Awards this year will range from $1,000 to $2,000.

 

 

 

Recipients will be selected based on

❖ Jewish involvement,

❖ personal motivation,

❖ past achievements and

❖ academic standing.

Eligibility is based on the following criteria:

❖ Applicants must identify as Jewish and have at least one Jewish grandparent or have formally converted to Judaism.

❖ Applicants must have a GPA of 2.5 or above as evidenced in their transcript.

❖ Applicants’ permanent residence must be in Greater Long Beach or West Orange County (if in

doubt, call for confirmation).

❖ The PDF application (which can be saved to one’s computer), a personal statement and Fall 2023

transcript must be emailed as attachments to info@ncjwlongbeach.org by May 1, 2024.

Awardees will be announced by June 1, 2024.
