NCJW Scholarships for
Post-High School Students
Every other year, we offer scholarships to resident area students from donations made to our Tikkun Olam fund and the Linda Calderón Memorial Scholarship Tribute fund. Applications will be available the February of alternate years, with a deadline of May 1 and notification to recipients by June 1. The next round of applications will be due in Spring 2023.
Eligibility is based on the following criteria: (a) the applicant is a Jewish student who has already completed a minimum of 12 undergraduate units or 8 graduate units at an accredited college, university, or trade school; (b) the student’s permanent residence is in greater Long Beach or West Orange County; and (c) the application, personal statement, and recommendations are submitted by the May 1 deadline.
Recipients are selected based on financial need, academic standing, Jewish involvement, personal motivation, and past achievements. Awards are dependent on the number of qualified submissions as well as the organization’s annual fundraising for this purpose.
Previous scholarship recipients are not eligible for additional awards.
