About the event

A film by Sabrine Keane and Kate Dumke

THE UNEXPECTED WORLD OF CRISIS PREGNANCY CENTERS

Please join us for a special screening of the film Preconceived, a documentary that uncovers how “Crisis Pregnancy Centers" (CPCs) operate through deceptive advertising and misinformation. These centers are part of an anti-abortion movement targeted at vulnerable, pregnant individuals, when they’re looking for resources to help and support them in seeking abortions.  Following the film, we’ll welcome Julianna Gesiotto from the California Women’s Law Center to talk about the details of her research into CPCs, with particular focus on what’s happening in California. Julianna is a staff attorney working across CWLC’s multiple avenues of advocacy to fight inequality and protect the rights of women and girls.
